Mini Arch Museum

established 2026

Mini Arch Museum is a new local museum of architecture and urbanism in Zahradní Město (“Garden City”), Prague. It is taking shape in Vila Měšťan, a modernist house with the studio of visual artist Jan Měšťan, which is becoming the pilot building of the whole project. The villa is gradually turning into an open house-museum where architecture, art, and the story of the neighbourhood meet.

What we do

Why Zahradní Město

Zahradní Město is one of the most distinctive residential areas of 20th-century Prague. Within a small area, several urban and architectural eras overlap:

“Less is more” — Mies van der Rohe

Barcelona Pavilion by Mies van der Rohe

The shape and operation of the museum draw inspiration from foreign examples of information pavilions at significant architectural colonies and estates.

Coming up

Mini Arch Museum is preparing a series of short films and features about notable buildings, in the Czech Republic and abroad.
